In Hermanus, which is located at the Garden Route between Port Elisabeth and Cape Town, it is possible to go on an adventure on the sea, where you experience the giants living in the deep.
The wale safari takes off from the beautiful Gansbaai habour, where you will be on a two-hour long trip to see right whales, killerwhales, humback whales, sealions and perhaps even sharks and other sea-animals.
The trip takes you along the beautiful beaches in the area around Hermanus and past the rock formations at De Kelders, which is an excellent spot for whale watching. If you are up for it, you get the chance to see the whales up close in the water, from a cage at the side of the boat, which is a very unique experience.
During the trip your local guide will tell you facts about the whales and the area in which they live, as they are working hard to support the life of the great creatures. You can be absolutely sure, that you are supporting people, who has an interest in the welfare of the animals.
You can read more about the trip here.
