Addo Elephant National Park is with the area of only 78 km2 one of the smallest national parks in South Africa. It is placed 70 km from Port Elizabeth – 2,5 hours from The Malpepo farm. The National park is the starting point for one of South Africa’s most beautiful roads, The Garden Route, which stretches from Mossel Bay to Storm River through the main street N2 and includes the cities which Mossel Bay, George, Knysna, Oudtshoorn, Plettenberg Bay and, Natures Valley.

The Park was built in 1931 in order to maintain the last elephants in the area but is today the home for more than 600 elephants, 50 black rhinoceros, lions, and other wild animals.

The low growth in the area gives the visitors a good opportunity for spotting all the animals. If you like, you can also drive in your car and try to spot the wild animals in your own tempo. Besides the amazing nature of the wild, there is also a vast number of activates and experiences in the park.
